The cherished tradition of hunting faces a formidable challenge that could send ripples across the entire Western region. Activists, using Ballot Box Biology, seek to ban the regulated harvest of mountain lions and bobcats, labeling it as trophy hunting. Despite rejection by biologists, scientists, and the Colorado legislature, they persist in their agenda. Our coalition, like never before, unites sportsmen and women celebrating our conservation heritage, ready to defend against this threat.
This is a fight we can win, but we need you on our team to defend the North American model of wildlife management. Wildlife conservation is not a result of accidents; it thrives when people rally behind the institutions of science and sustainable wildlife management. These moments of unity give us hope and define the success of our wildlife conservation story. Throughout history, sportsmen have played a crucial role—trappers aiding in species recovery and hunters fighting to preserve vast landscapes. Now, our community of conservationists is committed to a wildlife management system grounded in science, and the outcome of this moment will determine if the current 120 years of success will endure.
